A punishing style on defense is something Boise State football has been hit-and-miss on over the past few season.
Roman Kafentzis can hopefully bring more hits than misses upon his arrival at Boise State.
Kafentzis, a 6’3, 210-pound safety/linebacker, announced his commitment to Boise State on December 13:

The safety was named first team all-league defense for the Trinity League in California. Kafentzis had 49 tackles, two sacks, one interception and ten tackles for loss during his senior year. He is hard-hitting player and is good at coming off blocks, as seen in these videos over at 247 Sports.
Kafentzis arrives at Boise State from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. He helped lead Mater Dei to a 13-1 record and a number four national ranking. Kafentzis held offers from Fresno State, Nevada, and Colorado State, among others.
Linebacker and safety are both key position needs for Boise State, with five starters–part-time and otherwise–either graduating or leaving the program.
