Q&A With Boise State 6’3″ 190lb JUCO WR Commit Cedrick Wilson Jr.

6-foot-3, 190lb Coffeyville C.C. (Coffeyville, Kansas) product Cedrick Wilson Jr. committed to play for Head Coach Bryan Harsin and the rest of the Boise State coaching staff last Tuesday, November 24th at 8:44 PM MST.

The JUCO product enters a receiving corps that that will only lose two seniors at season’s end in Shane Williams-Rhodes and Terrell Johnson.




Wilson Jr. had a very productive season for the Ravens this year, posting 66 receptions for 1,045 yards and 17 touchdowns per The Idaho Statesman’s Chad Crippe.

The wideout has two season’s of eligibility remaining and played quarterback in high school.

Cedrick Wilson Jr.- “I feel like I have made the correct decision. And (I) can’t wait to be a Bronco.”

CWjr- “Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green are what I try to be like the most.”

WHAT BOISE STATE PLAYER DO YOU TRY TO MODEL YOUR GAME AFTER?

CWjr- “I have never seen anything about Boise State, I’m from Tennessee.”

WHO WAS YOUR PRIMARY RECRUITER?

CWjr- “Coach Brown.”

WHAT ARE YOUR INDIVIDUAL GOALS FOR YOUR TIME AT BOISE STATE?

CWjr- “My (individual) goal would have to be breaking the record for single season touchdowns.”




WHAT ARE YOUR TEAM GOALS FOR YOUR TIME AT BOISE STATE?

CWjr- “Team goal is to win.”

WHEN DID YOU KNOW THAT BOISE STATE WAS THE SCHOOL FOR YOU?

CWjr- “After I came on the visit and meet with Coach Adams my position coach, that’s how I knew it was for me.”

WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH COACH HARSIN LIKE?

CWjr- “It’s good right now, we haven’t really got to hangout much but he seems like a great head coach from the little I got to be around him on my visit.”

Wilson’s father, Cedrick Wilson Sr. played his college ball at Tennessee and spent 7 years in the NFL with the 49ers and Steelers, winning a Super Bowl with Pittsburgh in 2005-2006.




Wilson Jr. is the second WR in the 2016 recruiting class for the Broncos, joining Arizona product Julian Carter.
