The last regular season game for Boise State came down to a brutal goal line stand by the Air Force Falcon defense.
As all of Bronco Nation laments on the loss, even days after, it’s time to look ahead to see where the Broncos could end up bowling. At 10-2, it’s not going to be glamorous but it could make for some interesting matchups.
Below is where some of the national media have the Broncos placed in bowl games, followed by my prediction of where the Broncos will land.
- CBS Sports
- SB Nation
- NBC Sports
6 of the PAC 12 teams did not surpass the 6 win feat that could potentially put them in bowl games. Bowl games that have affiliations with a conference must select a team to fill the bowl spot if eligible.
If those conference teams don’t reach that number of wins they could be looking at staying home. That includes Cal, Oregon State, Oregon, Arizona State, UCLA and Arizona.
All with under 6 wins.
Which leaves a void to fill, specifically in the Cactus Bowl.
My projection is yet another bowl matchup with the TCU Horned Frogs (6-5) in the Cactus Bowl on Tuesday, December 27th.
This would be the fourth possible match-up against the Horned Frogs in bowl games.
- 2003 – Fort Worth Bowl – W
- 2008 – Poinsettia Bowl – L
- 2010 – Fiesta Bowl – W
