Boise State Broncos

Boise State Broncos back in both polls in week 12

A pretty exciting home win for the Boise State Broncos over the Fresno State Bulldogs last Friday night did not go unnoticed by the nation’s coaches and writers.

The Broncos (8-2) are again ranked in both the Coaches Poll and Associated Press thanks to a 24-17 victory over a then-ranked Bulldog team and some losses by other ranked teams.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, the Broncos re-entered the rankings at number 24. The last time Boise State was ranked was back in week 5 before a loss to the San Diego State Aztecs.

UAB (9-1) was the only other new entry in the Coaches Poll this week. Both Fresno State and N.C. State fell from the rankings after losses.

Central Florida held steady at number 11 after their victory over Navy. Utah State, who will be visiting the blue turf on 11/24, rose three spots to 13th.

Over on the AP side of things Boise State re-enters the rankings at number 23. Utah St. remains ranked number 14 and UCF is at number 11.
