Boise State Broncos Coaches Poll and AP rankings: Week 13

The showdown between the Boise State Broncos and the Utah State Aggies on Saturday will determine the champion of the Mountain Division of the Mountain West Conference.

Both teams won this past weekend and both remained ranked in the most recent Coaches and Associated Press Polls. This will mark the first time since a November 2011 loss to TCU that Boise State hosts a game in which both teams are ranked.

The winner of this week’s game will play Fresno State, who defeated San Diego State on Saturday to claim the West Division.

Boise State (9-2, 6-1), who defeated the New Mexico Lobos on Friday, jumped up two spots in the Coaches Poll, from number 24 to number 22.

Utah State, 29-24 winners over the Colorado State Rams, actually fell two spots on the Coaches side of things, from 13th to 15th. The Aggies were jumped by Penn State, Florida, and Texas.

Fresno State also returned to the Coaches Poll, re-entering at number 23.

Central Florida handily took care of Cincinnati on Saturday night and jumped to number 9.

Over on the Associated Press side of things, the Broncos moved up two spots, going from number 23 to 21. Utah State held steady in the 14th spot while Fresno State did not get ranked in the AP.

UCF jumped up three spots and is tied in the 8th position with the LSU Tigers.
