Fresno State’s victory against the Wyoming Cowboys today catapulted Boise State into the Mountain West Championship against the Fresno State Bulldogs, who are currently 8-3 and have only one conference loss to UNLV.
The Bulldogs victory against the Cowboys solidified Boise State’s Mountain Division title. The last time the Broncos were in the Mountain West Conference Championship was in 2014, where they faced Fresno State in Boise.
The victory over Fresno State ended the season with Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl against Arizona.
Boise State and Fresno State will face each other next week in Fresno on Saturday, November 25th at 1:30PM on CBS Sports Network and again the following week on Saturday, December 2nd. An interesting back-to-back scenario.
The host of the conference championship has yet to be determined. If Boise State wins out they will host in Boise.
The highest ranked team in the CFB Playoff Rankings will be the host; if neither team is ranked in the College Football Playoff Rankings it will come down to an average of the four computer polls, according to the Idaho Statesman.
We will keep you updated on hosts/times.
