Boise State Crowned 2014-15 Mountain West Basketball Regular Season Champions

Boise State takes down Fresno State in style as the Broncos end the regular season with a 71-52 win. The Broncos finish the season with a 24-7 overall record and a 14-4 in conference record. The last time these two teams met, Boise fell which marked the teams only loss in the last 15 games.

The win tonight gives the Broncos the regular season title and increases their chances for an NCAA Tournament Berth.

First Half

Boise started fast jumping to a 9-0 lead. The Bulldogs didn’t score until just under 14 minutes in the first half with a jumper from Harris. The Broncos scored 28 total points in the first half with 12 coming from beyond the arch.

Marks accounted for 8 of the teams points while Webb III had a spectacular night accounting for 10 which included the teams first 7 points. Boise ended the half with a 9 point lead over the Bulldogs, 28-19.

Second Half

The Broncos again kept Fresno State scoreless early in the second half extending their lead to 17 before the Bulldogs got on the board again. Boise out scored Fresno by ten, scoring a total of 43 points in the second half. While Webb III carried his hot hand into the second half putting up two more 3 pointers, Duncan put up three of his own.

The Broncos downed the Bulldogs, 71-52.


Fresno struggled with the jumper making only 35% of their shots while Boise shot 46%. The Bulldogs did fair better from beyond the arch making 50% of their 3 pointers. The Broncos made a total of 9 three pointers with four each coming from Webb III and the always reliable Duncan. Webb III finished the game with 18 total points, followed by Duncan, Marks, and Thompson with 14 each.
