Basketball season is upon us.
With the Boise State Basketball team already underway in their practices, there’s another sense of hype and expectations around this Bronco team, and for good reason. Many of the national media agrees with the hype surrounding Leon Rice & Co.

Excerpt from CBSSports.com:
The Broncos do lose Mountain West player of the year Derrick Marks, but they return just about everyone else from last season’s 25-9 team and re-add Anthony Drmic, who has a chance to finish as the school’s all-time leading scorer.
Some notable observations on the rankings:
- Boise State is ranked higher than San Diego State (36)
- SDSU was picked to win the MWC in preseason polls
- Broncos face two opponents ranked in the Top 25, Arizona (15), Oregon (23)

Boise State SG Anthony Drmic rated 65th (out of 101) best college basketball player by CBSSports.com.
Drmic will probably become Boise State’s all-time leading scorer this year after stepping back into the Broncos’ lineup this year after missing the last one with an ankle injury. He’ll have a shot to win the Mountain West player of the year award. — SV
