Boise State to host the MWC Championship

With Boise State coming off of a loss against Fresno State in the regular season finale, the question of whether or not Boise State would host the Mountain West Conference Championship was in question.

Due to having a higher ranking than the Bulldogs, Boise State will host Fresno State on Saturday, December 2nd at 5:45 PM MT. The game will be televised on ESPN.

According to the Mountain West Conference, here is how the computer polls ended up placing the Broncos ahead.

Excerpt from the themw.com:

In the four computer polls utilized by the Mountain West (Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley Matrix and Wolfe), Boise State finished the season with a 30.25 average ranking, while Fresno State had a 34.25 average.

Boise State & Fresno State are both 9-3 on the season.

The last time Boise State won the Mountain West Conference Championship was in 2014 against Fresno State. The Broncos went on to defeat Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl.
