Making it official, JUCO transfer Daniel Auelua officially commits to the Broncos today on NLI Day.
December 8th: Boise State is looking to beef up the defensive line with some more experience for the upcoming seasons.
They got their man in defensive lineman Daniel Auelua.
Auelua is a JUCO tranfer from Mesa Community College in Arizona. The 6-foot-2, 290 pound lineman was rated a 3-start recruit by 247Sports.
Originally he had committed to Utah State on May 24th but ultimately flipped his commitment to Bryan Harsin & Co.
He announced his commitment Tuesday, December 8th shortly after Coach Harsin gave his “Go Broncos!” tweet after the commitment was made.

As he tweeted that this was the right fit for him at this time, he has a point. With many of the Boise State defensive players leaving after this season due to graduation.
“I saw it as a good fit for me with the great coaches and players. Also, they are losing 7 senior D-lineman after this season so the need/want for me there is high!”
Auelua visited Boise and spent some time with the coaches, and specifically defensive line coach Steve Caldwell, who he’s very excited to learn from.
“It was great! When I first got there I saw how welcoming all the coaches and even the players were! Having awesome players and coaches was a huge reason why I chose Boise. “
Auelua had a total of 77 tackles in his two seasons as a Thunderbird, as well as 7.5 tackle for losses and 2.5 sacks.
He will be graduating with his Associates Degree in May.
