Boise State’s leading tackler out for the remainder of season

Boise State’s leading tackler LB Riley Whimpey is done for the year due to a season-ending injury that occurred during the BYU game.

Whimpey’s injury is a torn ACL.

“Things, they just happen. That’s why you have depth at that position. You lose a really good player, a leader, other guys have to step up,” said coach Bryan Harsin.

The sophomore linebacker has been filling the shoes of Leighton Vander Esch this season and has compiled 55 tackles, including 13 against Air Force.
