Throughout the 2018 recruiting process, the Bronco football team has been searching, talking, and trying to persuade a quarterback to commit to the Blue.

QB Riley Smith (Jacksonville, Florida)
On Thursday, January 25th, the Boise State football team received a verbal commitment from Bartram Trail High School quarterback Riley Smith.
A 3 star recruit, as assigned by 247 Sports, Smith threw for 1,495 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in his senior campaign.
The 6 foot 5, 215 pound quarterback also ran for 633 yards.
Here is one of his touchdown runs:

Smith will join a quartback depth chart that sees three other scholarship athletes.
In late December, during the early signing period, the Broncos added Juco quarterback Jaylon Henderson. Henderson threw for 1,081 yards, 9 touchdowns, and 1 interception for the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals. He is already on campus.
The two “new to the system” quarterbacks will join redshirt freshman Chase Cord and senior Brett Rypien to fill out the rest of the depth chart.
Though Smith verbally commitment to the Broncos, he can’t officially sign his commitment until the first Wednesday in February. For 2018, that is February 7th.
He will be on campus in either June or early July.
