Broncos add depth at Running Back in Drake Beasley

On January 21st it was reported, via Drake Beasley’s twitter handle, that the California native running back would officially commit to the Broncos.

The 5’11”, 202 pound running back combined for 23 touchdowns and 2,000 yards in his sophomore and junior seasons. He played varsity in both of these seasons.

247 Sports and Scout.com both have Beasley down as a three-star back.

Beasley’s triple threat: power, speed, and quickness.

Much like that of Jay Ajayi and Jeremy McNichols, Beasley is known not just for his balanced running style and vision, but also his hands.

He was offered by numerous Power 5 Conference teams including Arizona, California, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and UCLA.

The running back position is a real question mark for the Broncos heading into the new year. With the likes of Jeremy McNichols, Devan Demas, and Cory Young exiting the program, all for different reasons, spots have opened up awaiting the next man in line.
