Broncos land in-state linebacker commit

Boise State landed their ninth verbal commit of the 2015 class yesterday when three-star linebacker Drew Berger announced his decision to play for the Broncos.

The Couer d’Alene native whom also plays running back is the third in-state recruit for the Broncos.

Berger is listed at 6’1, 225 lbs., and is a force on both sides of the ball. In his junior campaign, he carried the ball 51 times for 308 yards and nine touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 83 tackles (49 solo), three sacks, and one interception.

Boise State did not sign a linebacker in the 2014 class.

His only other offer was from Idaho.
