Bryan Harsin’s $1.0 million salary is 3rd among MWC coaches

A Division-1 College Football coaches salary database has been compiled by Newsday. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is at the top of the list with a $6.9 million salary. Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin has a guaranteed $1.0 million salary.

Harsin’s 5 year contract started December 11, 2013 and ends January 10th, 2019. His salary is third among Mountain West coaches. Fresno State coach Tim DeRuyter is first with a $1.4 million salary, Colorado State coach Jim McElwain is second with a $1.35 million salary.

Some of the incentives of Harsin’s contract with Boise State(via Newsday):

5 year guaranteed money: $6,583,000

Contractual raises: $300,000 raise in 2016, $250,000 in 2017, $100,000 raise in 2019.

Mountain West Conference Championship: $50,000

Non-BCS Bowl: $35,000

College Football Playoff: $100,000

National Championship: $100,000

Perks: Car, Country Club Membership
