Numerous reports came out on Thursday morning that Sophomore defensive back Reid Harrison-Ducros would be leaving the Boise State football program after two seasons with the team.

The sophomore compiled a total of 26 tackles during his tenure as a Bronco. He took to Twitter to announce his intention to transfer.

“I just want to say thank you for all the support from the Boise community, the entire BSU staff, and the players as well through my 2 years here. After a lot of thought and discussion with my family and loved ones, I’ve decided to transfer from Boise State University. The friendships I have made here will last a lifetime and couldn’t have been more grateful for the opportunity. Thank you all.”

Hailing from Colleyville, Texas, Harrison-Ducros held offers from the likes of Utah State, New Mexico, Hawaii, Army, Louisiana-Monroe, Abilene Christian, Colgate, & Yale before joining the Bronco football program.

Harrison-Ducros told me in 2015 that he was “feeling really good,” about the Bronco program and coming out of high school he said he tried to “mimic” NFL corners that were “similar” to him at “5’11” or shorter.”

He also said he drew inspiration from former Boise State corner and current New York Giant Donte Deayon.

From our conversation, Harrison-Ducros demonstrated he was a guy that prides himself on being a leader, a team player, and a hard worker on the field and in the classroom.

In two seasons at Boise State, Harrison-Ducros had 32 tackles (including one for a loss) and four pass break-ups.
