Curtis Weaver turns down P5 schools, commits to Boise State

The Broncos have beaten out several “big name” schools for 3 star defensive end, Curtis Weaver. Weaver is coming to The Blue from sunny Southern California.

The high school senior and newest Bronco attends St. Anthony High School in Long Beach, California.

Weaver is a big boy. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 280 pounds, this kid is going to deliver some big hits for the Broncos.

Curtis chose the Broncos over Duke, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah State, Virginia, Washington State, Wisconsin, UCF, Fresno State, Wyoming, and Boston College 

Weaver played a majority of his time as a defensive player in high school. During which he recorded 96 solo tackles and 62 assisted tackles.

Over the last three years, Curtis also tallied up a fantastic 18 sacks, recovered 6 fumbles, and blocked 4 field goals.

On offense, Weaver rushed for 40 yards on 11 carries and 5 touchdowns. He also caught 23 passes for 348 yards and 6 touchdowns.
