According to a number of reports, former Boise State defensive end/current Dallas Cowboy Demarcus Lawrence had back surgery last week, head coach Jason Garrett announced Saturday.
It was an injury that had bothered Lawrence most of the season, but with the way Lawrence was playing, most people couldn’t tell.
“We expect him to be back fairly soon,” he said regarding the defensive end. “We’ll see. We don’t want to put it definitively, but we think he’s going to be OK,” said coach Garrett. (Quote via NFL.com)
Though the Cowboys struggled this year due to mostly injuries, the bright spot on the team was “Tank.” He led the Cowboys with eight sacks, and 55 tackles.
Tyrone Crawford also had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff back in January.
