In-State talent boost Broncos 2015 Defense with Drew Berger

The class of 2015 keeps getting bigger with the recent addition of inside linebacker, Drew Berger. Drew comes to The Blue from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Berger adds some nice size to the Bronco’s defense as he comes in at 6’1” and 223 pounds.

According to 247Sports, Drew is listed as the “Best Mid-Major LB,” as well as a 4 star & Top 247 recruit.

Berger also played in the Semper Fidelis All American Bowl this last year in Santa Ana along side some of the best talent in the country.

In a recent interview with Berger, I learned that Boise State’s Tight End’s coach Eliah Drinkwitz found Drew’s work ethic to be exactly what the Bronco’s like to see. Berger also stated that the coaches found his size and speed to be attractive and give the Boise State’s defense some power in the linebacker position.

When asked about what he liked the most about Boise State, Drew stated “The coaching staff is fired up. One hundred percent pumped up. They want what’s best for the program and what’s best for me.

According to Drew, other schools such as Washington State have shown interest in him. Berger was set on Boise as he turned down an official visit to Pullman citing that he was “solid with Boise.”

Drew is a rated as a four star by 247Sports. You can find all their information on linebacker here.
