Jake Hardee awarded full scholarship

Junior tight end Jake Hardee was in for a big surprise Saturday morning when Coach Bryan Harsin awarded him with a full scholarship in front of the entire football team.

Several players were asked by Coach Harsin to answer various football trivia questions. Hardee was the last of the three contestants to answer and was asked, “The NCAA allows a football program 85 of what?”

“Scholarships”, Hardee answered.

The video screen then flashed “CONGRATULATIONS JAKE HARDEE!!!” as the room erupted into cheers for the tight end.

“You put a lot of time in. It’s continued to show up. You’re doing things right. And that’s exactly what this program is about”, Harsin said. “The same time, not just spending their time in it, but investing it, and that’s what Jake has done. And we’re investing in him.”

Hardee appeared in all 13 games for the Broncos last season, hauling in five receptions for 73 yards.
