On Thursday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys announced they have released former Boise State QB Kellen Moore.
Moore was released from the Cowboys this past September, but re-signed him after the Cowboys put TE Rico Gathers onto injured reserve list.
He missed all of the 2016-17 season due to an injury. (Fractured Fibula)
Looks like Cooper Rush has won the backup job for good for the #Cowboys. Kellen Moore was released, TE Blake Jarwin promoted to the 53.

In the three games he played for the Dallas Cowboys, he completed 61 passes on 104 attempts. A 58.7% completion rate, while compiling 779 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has had high praise for Kellen during his time in Dallas.
Excerpt via Star-Telegram:
“Jerry Jones famously said “Moore’s got it” and Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said, Moore “has as good of instincts of anyone in the game I’ve ever been around.”
We will let you know if we hear any other news regarding Kellen.
