Boise State men’s basketball team improves to 3-0 in conference play after taking down Fresno State (11-6, 2-2). The win puts the Broncos (12-4, 3-0) in second place in the conference behind San Diego State, and 0.5 game’s back from first place.
James Webb III had a spectacular game as the junior forward scored 25 points off 7-12 field goals and 2-6 three pointers. It’s the fourth time this season the junior has scored 25 or more points and the sixth time this season he has scored 20 or more. Webb III also hauled in 9 rebounds.
Hutchinson scored 9 points for Boise State, the most of any of the bench players. Duncan and Drmic each had 13 points for the Broncos and Thompson added 12.
The first half was pretty much all Boise State as the Broncos would outscore the Bulldogs 51-32. Fresno State would put a little more fight in the second half as they would outscore Boise State 38-30. The rally fell short however, as the game would end with a Bronco victory by a score of 81-70.
This win does more than just give the Bronco’s another notch in the W category. Boise State’s home win streak now sits at 17 games and their current win streak extends to 9 games.
The Broncos will put their win streak on the line as the play at Nevada (10-6, 2-2) on January 13th, 7:00 PM MT.
