Report: Former Boise State RB Doug Martin to miss 3 weeks

Former Boise State running back, Doug Martin suffered a hamstring injury this past weekend in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Tampa Bay running back is expected to be out about three weeks.

Expectations were high this year for the Bucs. That included the hiring of former Boise State coach Dirk Koetter as head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who is known around the league as one of the bright offensive minds. The Buccaneers have a bye in Week 6 of their season, which will give Martin and extra week before playing in San Francisco.

Last year was one of Martin’s best seasons since his rookie year. He compiled 1,402 yards and 6 touchdowns last season.
