Reports: Oregon HC Willie Taggart to take Florida State job

Just two days after the announcement of Oregon facing Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl, the Ducks football program may have lost their coach as multiple reports have confirmed that coach Willie Taggart will be taking the head coaching position at Florida State University.

He will replace former coach Jimbo Fisher who left the Seminoles program to take over the Texas A&M head coaching position.

According to Sports Illustrated, Taggart had a good situation in Eugene but he couldn’t pass up an opportunity to go back to Florida, where he had coached previously at USF for four seasons before heading West to take over the Oregon Football program last year.

He was 7-5 as the head coach of the Ducks.

This leaves in question who will be coaching in the Las Vegas Bowl against Boise State.

We will keep you updated on who that may be leading up to the bowl game on December 16th.
