Seven Mountain West teams go bowling

Bowl season is upon us and the Boise State Broncos are set to take on the Baylor Bears in the Cactus Bowl on December 27th.

While this will undoubtedly be the primary focus for Bronco Nation this bowl season, the Mountain West Conference has six other teams bowling this season as well. Here is the Mountain West 2016-2017 Bowl Schedule:

Bowl games will open up on December 17th and will feature two Mountain West teams, New Mexico and San Diego State. The Lobos (8-4) will face off against the UTSA Roadrunners (6-6) in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, New Mexico at 2 PM EST on ESPN.

Mountain West Conference Champions San Diego State (10-3) will take on Group of 5 power-house, Houston (9-3). Both teams are coming off strong seasons. The Aztecs will take on the Cougars in the Las Vegas Bowl in Las Vegas, Nevada at 3:30 PM EST on ABC.

Mountain West Conference runner-up, Wyoming (8-5) will take on the BYU Cougars (8-4) in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on December 21st in beautiful San Diego, California at 9 PM EST, on ESPN.

Colorado State (7-5) will take on the Idaho Vandals (8-4) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl held in Boise, Idaho on December 22nd. The game will air on ESPN at 7 PM EST.

Hawaii (6-7) will take on Middle Tennessee (8-4) in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 24th at 8 PM EST. The game will air on ESPN.

Mountain West Bowl Season wraps up with Air Force (9-3) taking on South Alabama (6-6) in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona on December 30th at 5:30 PM EST. The game will air on ASN/CI.
