The Bronco football team survived a tough battle against Pac-12 opponent, Washington State. The Bronco defense provided the team with a much needed head start. They set the tone and established a temporary momentum.

Sophomore defensive back, Tyler Horton had much to prove coming into this season. After losing two huge names from the secondary this past season, it was up to new talent to fill in the gaps and make plays.

Tyler Horton, in particular, provided Bronco Nation with an exquisite example of that with 10:23 left in the first quarter:

Horton’s interception went for 85¬†yards ending the play in the South End Zone (Pick-Six). Along with five tackles throughout the game, Horton was awarded the honor of Mountain West Defensive Player of the week!
