‘Voice of the Broncos’ – Paul J Schneider announces retirement

I remember attending Boise State games as a young boy, enjoying every moment of a Bronco victory on The Blue.

After the games, my father would drive home and take the ‘long route’ so we could listen to some guy on the radio named Paul J.

Even as a young boy you knew this guy had a voice for the radio and was made to do exactly what he was doing.

Now being 30 years old, that same guy, Paul J is still on the airwaves talking Boise State Football.

Friday morning, after 51 years in media and broadcasting, Paul J Schneider has decided it’s time to retire.

“I’ve been here 51 years now. Time truly does fly… We’ve had a tremendous ride… It’s been the most fun anybody could have in a job. Well, it’s time for me to sleep in…” said Schneider.

Schneider’s final morning show will be on the 14th of December. He still plans to do some features and some commercial work after his official retirement date.

You can find more info on his announcement on KBOI.
